MILTEK CAT BACK EXHAUST FOR 182

Hi folks,

Gonna be getting one of these soon as my standard one is on its way out, keeping the standard cat tho. just wondered if these are a straight replacement for the standard one i.e. do they need any specialist fitting or is it something the likes of kwick fit/farmers would be able to fit for me.

Also, where is best/cheapest place to buy from, have seen them on ebay for £370.

Nope dont need any special fitting although when i got mine done i got some new exhaust hangers from renault as the other ones were all sagged and your miltek wont sit evenly if you got shagged exhaust mounts. Fit it yourself mate its easy. Although if you cant, kwikfit etc will be able to do it for you yeah. Good choice on the miltek btw, had it on my old 182 and loved it!

Not sure on best prices, get into the for sale section and keep a lookout there?

I helped my mate do it tbh i dont think i could do it alone lol. You'll be amazed at how heavy the standard exhaust is mate, i guarentee you'll laugh when you pick it up. Its like its made out of lead.

mine was absolutly fine for the 3 years i had the car. Just because some have crap welds doesnt mean all do.

i just got home from buying my 182 today and it sounded asif the exhaust was blowing...
had a look under the car and the tailpipe has cracked all around where its welded to the back box

Buy exhaust mounts from nw performance. Half the Renault prices

milteks have been known to crack, but they have a very good warrenty service and its no trouble getting a replacement. had my miltek nearly 3 years and its spot on, sits perfect and sounds great with a couple of little mods

if i had of known about the cracking issues over 3 years ago i would have gone for a yozza to be honest.
but im not going to change the miltek now after paying for it, just replace under warrenty if need be.

At least they have the decency to admit the fault and replace them. It could be worse.

Unfortunately, thinks break.....mobiles, cars, faces, and now exhausts!

its not just the clios and they've been cracking for years, shame their welders aren't as good as their marketing people

Its a shame, as for me they sound just right! But the one i had on my 182 fitted shockingly, whole system seemed jigged 10mm out....... very stressed when hot etc
