Looks great! I'm looking at turbo or supercharged but this kit is a lot cheaper, how is it still running? What miles where on your car when they did the conversation?

Their called engine dynamics based in Braintree. Their on google if u search.

Yeah I thought so supercharging but I think the fuel consumption would be a lot worse, and I liked the idea of a turbo lol. Runs really well very reliable power car was on 77k when I was fitted but I had the engine rebuilt pretty much fully

What is the driveability like? I'm saving for the same conversion. I'm more concerned about it being too torquey giving torque steer, wheel spinning etc.

With drivability it obvuously is a bit of a handful with no t/c or ABS but if you dont drive it hars theres no problems. When your driving hard it does spin alot whrn damp/wet but again if u drive to the conditions you can still get upto speed long as you feed the power gently. Torque steer isnt that bad really ive never been caught out yet.

Car looks lovely!! For 3k that's a really good price!! I wouldn't mind doing the conversion myself just haven't got enough time on my hands and need the car on a daily basis.

Needs a short Ariel tho

Car looks great. Very interesting to read about one of the ED conversions. Heard nothing but good things about them. How many miles have you done in the car since having it done? Still no issues?

Where did you get the boost gauge. Looks good

From a local performance shop, it's a 30 psi gauge tho and I only boost to 7 so it's a bit wasted really!!

Yeah you should defiantly go boosted, so much fun, went to Enfield down the a10 last night had a wicked drive there and back, m3 BMWs look so surprised!!
Brakes are off an espace v6.

yeh it's a very high quality conversion by a very reputable company, although I have had issues they were all resolved in a matter of hours really.

done about 6.5k of hassle free driving now. Loving it!!

id love this conversion on my car. you say just over 3 grand? but the website its 3 grand for the kit, that not fitted is it? thought it was nearer 4k fitted or am i wrong?

Yeah I got it very cheap as I know the guys there. Got the engine rebuilt for that price too.

Looks great, I think they have put there prices up by the looks of things.. What would it cost to get the work you had done, if you were a normal paying customer?

Erm not 100% how much all the work I had done would of costed . But I had a bottom end rebuild with All new piston rings big end bearings and all seals. Valves removed and re lapped and head decoked. And full engine bay degrease etc. Brilliant job been done and on a good timescale.


On another note. Received my 2118s today and fitted the tyres (pilot sport 3s) just now. Will put them on and post pics after dinner.

It's a prospeed exhaust, don't know much about them, but its well built and large in diameter for the turbo conversion

Little update as it's been a while, still enjoying the boosted clio, I do think of selling up every now and then and getting something newer, fancy an m3 or an rs3 tbh but then I go for a blast in the clio and it takes my mind off it again!

swapped the prospeed for an oreca off a friend sounds a lot nicer now, and got an OMP leather wheel that I've been after for ages off Toms_clio.

also now has Recaro front seats, pole position for th driver and trendline for the passenger!!

Had a new wheel bearing yesterday

and a few pics of a very quick clean and new front 'show plate'

and an oil change using halfords bits for the grand total of £10.66

Buying a fiberglass boot lid in a group buy soon so will get that painted and fitted when it arrives!

I cannot fault Alexs work, everything was checked and double checked. I defiantly recommend him to anyone wanting their belts done.
