Mk1 - Blue plug not plugged in to anything??

While I was fitting in my Road Angel yesterday I took the top dash off my car (Mk1 Ph3 1.2 Oasis) and spotted a blue plug thing tied in with all the wires but not connected to anything. It was resting near the top left side of the speedometer unit. Could this plug be the one that goes into the oil cradle with the guages, like on on Rsi's/Valvers,Williams??

Yes,

The blue plug is for the oil dials.

another kind of off topic question here, will all the oil dials work on a mk1 1.2? is that all you have 2 do? plug in that plug thing lol? really detailed explaination there by me!

I would imagine so, looks like all the wires are connected up but just tied out the way as the 1.2 dash top is different to the rsi/16v etc. Im gonna try and get hold of some and try anyways

The dials will light up but i don't think they will actually work as you might not have the sensors in the engine.

from memory you need both the sensor and the dash with the oil temp gauge on

Ok :/ don't suppose anyone knows how much the sensors cost roughly??
