After the long winter it was finally time to give the clio its spring clean, this took place over a few nice days of sun. The car wasnt in a major state but had a good layer of dirt and salt on it and the wheels were shocking, the paintwork is pretty decent as it was corrected last year except the roof which got a going over this weekend. Apologies for the amount of pictures, got a bit carried away.
First up were the wheels and arches. Wheels were removed and cleaned with AS Smartwheels,Iron-x and Tardis, then polished with Tripple and topped with some meguiars liquid wax as i have no wheel wax at the moment.
Arches were cleaned with AF CitrusPower and G101.
Before
During
After
Then onto the car which was attacked in the following order:
Soaked with CitrusPower
Rinsed
Foamed with ValetPro foam
Rinsed
Washed with Lather and Meguiars mitt
Rinsed
Tardis/Iron-x then clayed
Washed again and dried
The car was then moved into the garage so i could work on the roof with some light, work was done with white and black hex pads and Menzerna 203s/106fa
I then applied Poorboys Blackhole with a finishing pad via DA and topped with ToughCoat. Windows were clayed, cleaned and sealed with Gtecniq G5. Plastics were dressed with AF Revive and the tyres with megs tyre gel.
The interior got a good hoover and G101 was used to clean the door cards, dash etc. All flocked parts were wiped over with a damp cloth to pick up the dust and dirt. Sills were polished with Tripple.
And finally the completed shots
Very happy with how it turned out, the gloss and flake pop after were superb. Shame it got a little dirty on the way to taking some pictures.
