be reet ol, got the new bung last night so should hopefully have a water tight engine after tonight

now both indicators / hazzards work

however when the engine is turned over (just to see if it would) no fuel there yet, i get nothing no starter motor noise or anything :s
dash also not showing when headlights are on ... i hate this car

Can't say i am a fan of the minilites...

they arnt mini lites.. they are ultralites

right so thinks have come to a bit of a grinding halt. from the bulkhead back is complete now, minus the washer bottle for the front screen thats going in the boot... i just need to work out how to mount it.

i still need to wire the fuel pump
work out why the dash fans arnt working and the dash lights. (i have no way of telling if my headlights are on or off atm)
i need to find a new rocker cover bolt as i seem to be one down :s
and a new dip stick as thats another thing thats gone walkies

i want to try and get it painted asap so then its lytrally just the electrics that are holding it back

I painted my mk1 yellow first time round.
Magane sunflower yellow infact.
Looks good

yellow isnt the final colour?
Mine was yellow then terquiose (sp?) then dark blue. Gti arches, cut springs, de locked, black painted steelies.
This was back in 97 too. I was so ahead of the game.

yellow is the final colour ... but only the front end is painted atm... and quite badly too if im honest, needs redoing. the rest is just in primer currently and i can seal the rear lights in etc and make it water tight.

i have spotted a really uber yummy metallic bluey green that keeps screaming out to me but ive already painted the bay and the arches so cant really change the colour now

Ive got a camcover bolt and dip stick. I will put them on your pile of bits haha

ive not toutched it tbh, i can only think that the feeds to the starter motor are on the wrong way but havnt had chance to check yet, as i was away last weekend.

ill do a bit more tomorrow assuming im in a fit state after tonight haha

Nope lol, its rained all weekend, last weekend i was away and the z4 broke so i had to fix that.

Hopefully a techy from work is coming over after work tonight to have a gander

fingers crossed, he helped another mate with his caddy so hopefully he will eb able... it wont start because theres no fuel pump but if we can get it trying then its go go go from there

was just really 2 wires on wrong. took all of about 10 mins!

found some fuel and boom she lives... bit of back firing as the HT leads were in the wrong order but all sorted now
she sounds like a tractor bacause there isnt an exhaust on it... dont worry lol
