MK1 RSi brakes

  340i
Ive recently fitted a new master brake cylinder and put new fluid in the system.... but my brakes are absolute pants now! you have to pump the brake pedal to get any decent stopping power! :(

So i thought they may need bleeding, tried to do the rear and ive snapped the bloodey nipple GGRRR

Then ive had a play adjusting the rear brake bias valve near the spare wheel now the brakes are even worse!!!!

So any suggestions how to set the rear brake bias valve?

and what brake fluid do you MK1 owners use?

Thanks alot

jack one side up and get a mate to sit in it and slowley apply more pressure to teh pdeal till the front wheel won't spin, then apply a tad more, now, holding the pedal in same position adjust bias valve till the rear one will just not spin, then check and adjust again if necessary
