hi im james im new to the forum and thought id show you my clio that i have just bought
pics

ive had a go at repairing 1 of its many dents but the snow stopped play

i bought it for £450 with 6 months tax and 2 months mot it has a williams interior williams exhaust with scorpion back box
racing clutch
16" wolfrace racing alloys
pipercross airfilter

Get some traffic film remover and clean that engine bay! Power steering bottle is filthy!

lose the wheels, back box and filter and replace with better/nicer ones then yuor onto a winner imo.

if you get williams wheels for a standard mk1 clio rsi you might just get away with it as they are 7" wide, if you go any lower they may just fit but you might be rubbing the arch. The valver and williams have wider arches

replaced my door card today
and fixed the speaker
and replaced the catch that stops the door from opening too far
and sorted my centeral locking out lol
got quite a bit done

It had the last, ever made Magnex exhaust system for the Rsi aswell

deck it on turbines/willy wheels and a good wash/detail.
i would bin that 16v bonnet off too, they weigh a ton and the rsi doesnt need the vent for its manifold........

im sure you have to take the rain catcher off to clear the tb which mean rain pisses onto the elecs/injectors= not good......

Sunroof seal

is it just a seal and how do you get to it ???

You remove the light console, unbolt aerial...

Clean up... I packed mine with a little silicone

hi i have remote centeral locking but the button is hard to press and you have to go close to the car to unlock it
is there anything i could do to improve that ????

clean up the sensor near the interior light. usually corrode from leaking aerials/sunroofs

packed the airial with sealent now but the centeral locking started playing up and now doesent work???

update pics!!

got the fillering done and put a few layers of paint on it (i know its not dark enough yet lol )

and started painting my door pillar matt black to match the other side

looking well, i love mk1's, ive got a couple at the minute, one im working on, euro stance and lairy paint job!! williams wheels and lowered and your onto a winner m8. Keep up the good work.

Oh, the water may have coroded the circuit board on the sensor for the central locking, if you take it out and clean it it should be ok, not too expensive from renault either if you have to replace it!

nice cars i used to have one many, many years ago lol
Did pretty much everything you can, bar new engine, to that car (suspension, ported polished head, cams, induction+exhaust, 17's, 16v wings/bonnet etc, was a fun motor... although my tastes have changed over the years and some mods i wouldn't do again
enjoy, not sure where it is nowadays though:
