Mk1 Valver Problem PLEASE HELP!!!

Just picked up an old valver on £250, engine runs but as soon as the bottom, bigger, butterfly valve is opened the engine is really loud and just has no power what so ever.

Timing is all correct with the TDC etc

Compression is about 80 on all pistons.

Any ideas?

Is the exhaust ok

Compression sounds very low. I think they should be 147ish psi.

Exhaust is fine?!?

Never mind, engine came out today for the 172 one to go in!
