MK2 2002 1.2 clio steering wheel in a MK2 2004 clio?

so my friend is deciding to scrap his car for parts to get a little money to fix his new car. A golf gti. why dont he jus sell it is beyond me. Anyways he has a perfectly good steering wheel in good condition hes trying to sell. i told him ill buy it but the only problem is hes has a 2002 model clio and i have a 2004 model.

they look exactly the same from the front minus his is leather i think and mine is another type of material ( im not sure).

I really wanna buy it from him but would the inner workings behind the wheel fit correctly onto mine with no problems.

any help would be much appreciated guys.
