Mk2 ph2 172 tweeters not working

Hi guys - the tweeters on my ph2 172 aren't working. The previous owner changed the head unit - the door speakers are working but the tweeters are silent (they are there - I checked to make sure!).

So I need to trace the wiring to see where they're disconnected. Do they go directly down to the radio slot on the dash fascia, or do they connect to the door speakers?

And are they connect seperately to the radio, or are they wired in with the front door speakers?

Any gen gratefully received - as it sounds like I'm listening to everything in medium wave right now!

The tweeters might have just blown, best to replace them really as their not that expensive,

but as for the connected to either headunit or speakers, im 100% its the headunit, but to double check you will need to unravel the black tape.

Thanks - have tested - yes they're blown (how does that happen??!). Will get them replaced! Cheers!

Just for future reference they're connected into the same wires as the doors speakers (and branch off the loom just near where the loom exits the main body to go to the doors.)
