I've got 2 turbo cars, there's just something about NA engines that IMO is more of a challenge in terms of building (bit of black magic ) and driving - its pure
Going back to your F430 e-diff thing, i despise flappy paddle gearboxes too, manual box everytime - its part of the experience even though its slower
I'm very much of the same opinions as you then mate.
The flappy paddle gearbox in Porkies F430 is epic, it changes quicker than any manual box would (even a sequential) but i'd probably still enjoy it more if it was a manual sequential instead in terms of track type driving.
I'm not always bothered about fastest there are just certain aspects of building and driving cars that I particuarly enjoy even though I know they could be bettered.
I've still got one ITB car even now despite have several turbos and I quite possibly always will do, I just accept it will never perform as well as it could with a turbo instead.
You have to be a bit of an engine nerd to want to tune an N/A engine, but I am so I do, lol
Its fun finding 2bhp from altering the cam timing slightly, or changing the compression ratio slightly on the next engine you build, but ultimately you're very limited and are always tending towards a value really, where as with a turbo setup the mechanical strength of your components is the only limit really!
Mapping wise I enjoy turbos more though, N/A mapping is actually so simple to get right that its kind of boring by comparison.
