mot due, Hand brake on...

hey people , my mot is due before end of month i was just wundering if it could fail its mot for the hand brake been on final click ave had it looked at and it needs a new cable but i just cant afford at moment with tax insurance and mot due i was just wundering if i would get away with not doing it if i sent it into mot centre? cheers

sounds like it will fail to be honest, as said they are less than 10 each from ecp i think.
