mounting depth 182 door speakers

Hi,
I have been using the search but cannot find a definitive answer.
what is the max mounting depth of the doorspeakers in a 182, and how much can be won by using MDF rings while still fitting under the original grille?
I have my eye on a Hertz HSK130 set which states mounting depth as 65mm.

Hertz Dieci DSK 130 are fine, can beat the price from anyone one these

just found out the diameter of the magnet is too large, the taper of the enclosure in the door is too much for the speaker to fit.(hertz HSK130.4)

before i start cutting and such any other idea's?
replacement enclosures?
And if I cut the enclosure out, how do I protect the top of the speaker as per the original enclosure.
