My 182 hit from behind New Years Eve

I was sat at a red Traffic Light on New Years Eve, when a prat drove into me at 30mph punting me to the other side of the crossing.

The 182 seemed to take it well but on opening the tailgate(just) the floorpan has come up like a volcano all the way across!

The twin pipes took it full on and I assume may have done further damage further up underside. When I moved it the back axle was making a strange noise!Anyone out there had the same? Will they rebuild the back end? Norwich Union are being totally crap already! The other driver has been reported for Summons by my colleagues,so its a non faulter on my part. Do Clios take a rear end shunt well?

Depends if there is any structural damage, tbh wiht it being a relativly new car i woudl imagine they will repair it, although if it was me i would want it to be written off, imagibne trying to sell a car tyhat has been f**ked up the rear (excuse the expression)

Gutted , thats a f**ker, not gona be good at 30MPH at all, people have been driving like tw*ts this christmas/new year!

  Shhh

Id push for a new car, i assume the airbags went off, so new seats and dash.? The rear knackered too, id be looking at a twisted chassis, claim you never wanna drive it again etc..

Thanks, yeah I hope they write it off, , i mean I have whiplash and muscle damage to my left shoulder, buggered my New Year. I feel that the car will never be the same if its rebuilt.

Do the exhausts meet up somewhere and meet the block as one?

write it off if u can.. it will never be the same again.. it will get worse over time and the bumpers will never fit properly again!

Ive been hit at 30 mph from behind in my old car (Fiesta) and the boot floor was badly crumpled with the rear bumper smashed to pieces.

The insurers reckoned it could be repaired and the bodyshop had it back as good as new. They put the car on a jig and had the boot floor pulled out.

Thats really unfortunate mate.

Dont forget you can claim compensation for your injuries. And if you do, you can also recover ALL your solicitors fees from the c**t that shunted you.

Feel really sorry for ya :(

Make sure you claim for injuries, physio, time off work, etc. This probably cover any cash shortfalls when writing off and buying a new car.
