I have got my monies worth out of my front tyres on the green wheels it hasn’t helped my abs wasn’t worked since finishing the car however that’s fixed now turned out just to be a wire had come loose haha.
My friend has a Radical and amazingly the front tyres are the same size as the Clio so he very kindly offered me his used front slicks he doesn’t use anymore for free so I thought why not give them a go. Interesting going to slicks, the first time I tried them on my car it was the wrong conditions it was very cold and really struggled to get heat into them, the next Bedford track day was warmer and they performed loads better must admit I preferred the feel of the AO48s but to be fair the cars not fully set up for slicks so I would imagine I am not getting the full potential out of them but they were free so I can not complain but good to try.
Both cars are away for the winter now getting ready for next year the plan is
Green car-
Cam belt
Tidy inside up finish a few bits and bobs
Maybe a new short shifter see on funds
Maybe new front wheel (15”)
Headlight refresh and film on them
Learn how to wrap maybe the bumper or rear quarter
Orange car-
Gearbox out and to be sent off for inspection
New passenger seat
New passenger seat belts
Clean and inspect
And new front wing as dad put the semi slicks through it haha
Future plans for the cars-
Green car-
Maybe an LSD diff
AST would be a dream
Play with aero more for looks than anything
Orange one-
Dad joked at 400 bhp I will try and work on him lol be cool for it to have throttle bodies instead of 400 bhp though
More wheels dad loves buying wheels
Maybe a cup racer exhaust because I like the flames they make and for it to be complete with all cup racer parts (that’s the only thing missing)
And this is how the green car is now
I will update more as and when we do the jobs on the lists.
Also I am on instagram if you wanted to follow me always happy to have more Clio related stuff on my instagram. cl10.ben
