My Fiesta ZS TDCI

  LY R26
Well some of you may remember my old clio..

Unfortunatley on my way to my friends house 2 months ago an older man came hurling off a bend on the wrong side of the road and wrote my car off after smashing me into a field after rolling into a tree etc! So after 6 weeks of recovering from burns, broken bones etc Im back on the road in my ZS!

I will have to take it slow with this one as money is a bit tight at the moment until my insurance pays out.

Plans are:

Wind deflectors (done)
Lowered on 50-60mm springs if I can find them.
Debadge the back (done, kept the ZS)
Carbon gel overlays (ordered)
Carbon vinyl roof and spoiler
Remap (Thinking of going to RS Tuning with a few friends)
ST/ST170/Compo Monoblocks/Escort Cossie wheels, unsure yet.
Bonnet Bra maybe, have seen a few that look good.
New double din head unit, just a touch screen integrated one.
Full colour code and satin black grill and front/rear valances.
Leon Cupra R splitter

If you have any other ideas let me know!

Some pictures..

Great car... I'd leave out 50mm sprins though, these cars handle and ride great as standard. Get a set of eibachs if you want to go lower!

  LY R26
they only go 35-40mm though, i know they handle well i just want something lower for the looks aswell, so 45mm minimum i think mate.

  LY R26
im trying to keep it subtle mate, it has a couple stone chips on the bonnet so the bra would be purely for that mate. although they look alright like.

the map is getting done as soon as the funds are available.

Looks good mate - I didn't realise it was only a '58 plate! I'd be tempted to get those alloys done in matt black - personally I like the standard wheels.

I like the sound of the other mods though, bar the springs and bonnet bra! Personally I get a little nervous when driving around with my standard suspension (theres some horribly high humps near home!) as such, I'll only be going the 20mm route when I get some new springs next year.

Bonnet bras are personal taste - and personally they make be feel a little sick, however, if thats your thing - that's your thing :p

I'm glad to see you're doing it all properly though - e.g. RSTuning etc

  LY R26
thanks mate, awk when you drive around in a clio thats around 80mm at the front on 45 profile tyres and about 100mm on the back you dont care about speedbumps haha, besides 45mm isnt that low! the bonnet bra is a maybe, you dont lose alot of money on them anyway so if i dont like it i could just sell it on!

yeah those ones jon, thinking the silver would look good with my grey though!

Yeah silver or polished then get the same ride height as that.

Dont suppose you know what that is/was lowered on. was part of the ZSOC stand at trax 2009!

Lol, 100mm/80mm around my area would cause write-offs! 45mm isn't too low I guess, but I couldn't drive in Buxton much lower than stock - in fact if you want test your suspension, Macclesfield has some of the worst speed bumps I've ever seen (hidden in some back streets).

I think those allows on the Anniv Green ZS would look good black on yours - but if you do go silver, you can always respray if you decide black'd be better.

It's all about personal taste anyways - I look forward to seeing your progress threads :)

Any plans for the brake setup?

Looks cracking mate enjoy :D

The green ZS above is either coilovers for sure either KW's or AP's I would suspect.

  LY R26
brakes are good already so will be leaving them! my car struggled at speedbumps but there's always alternative routes haha!

yeah aps are highly recommended on zsoc for going low, but i won't be able to afford them for a while yet, i will probably get them before wheels because I'm quite happy with the ones iv got atm! I just want enough to get rid of the arch gap!

thanks vivalagoobs!

  LY R26
what alloys you mean r20 cwh?

I agree adele! seen them on a 106 the other week in a polished finish, MINT!!

This!

Leave the suspension well alone, like Renaults, they ride well out the box!

Looks well!

i know:( iv still got it too, its sitting on my driveway!

i know, its another good base just like the clio was, only thing is i will need to go slow with this one:(

plus everything is sooo expensive for them, i mean i was like £133 for the coilovers on the clio, ap ones for the fiesta are £445!!

to pull off those wheels though it will need to be lower, i know they handle well but im willing to compromise a little bit for it to look better, i mean its a diesel its not going to see track days or any real handling tests on the road, so it might aswell look good?

Do you still have those turbines/speedline wheels? :)

Christ! Not bloody cheap!
Still, I trust you can make a nice looking car out of it ;)

Must be a bit nippy too! My dad used to have a 1.4 TDCI Fiesta van - not exactly breathtaking, but it shifted well enough! lol

True, the lime green one looks pretty good!

The Renault 25 v6 speedline wheels you mean? 2 are buggered completely 2 are ok, try jackfm on here he might still have his set!

Oh I will Joey, in time haha, nah I will get there eventually, remap first, springs, wheels, then maybe coilies if need be! Some carbon touches, got my car bin gel overlays today, there mint! Yeah it fairly shifts like, really torquey! I love it haha.

I know Danny I'd love a yellow anniversary edition!

  F56 MINI Cooper S
i would recommend colour coding wing mirror covers, one of the first mods i did to mine, black plastic ones look abit basic model ish

  LY R26
Mines have the black underneath? Is that what you mean? I will be getting a full colour code done eventually, I will get everything done at the simultaneously!

  LY 182
eibach won't cut it for me mate, hids for dipped and fogs and full colour code are on the cards.

There's a guy who works for Ford who does the colour coding mint job. Based in Blackpool though so probably a bit far away lol. Had mine done when I had a ZS.

  LY R26
yeah I heard about him, does everyones st sideskirts too ha? my mates cousin has a body shop so he will do it for me, he is really good!

  LY R26
blocked off the resonator today, gives a nice whistle off the turbo now, will be getting a panel filter at somepoint too.
