my first clio P2 iceberg 172

sooo got asked to put my car on display over the weekend to give the crowd something to look at there where meant to be more cars there but it was just me but ah well even won best car on display... should have been only car on display.

also have just ordered some wheel nut covers just to neaten up the wheels then after my exhaust i might be on the lookout for some 2118s
 
yeah its got 20mm front hub centric spacers with camber bolts wound all the way in and 2 1 degree camber shims on the rear with a 10mm axle spacer
 
My god after lots of faffing and some swearing the old exhaust is off and a nice smooth refit the new system is on

And it sounds and looks amazing feels different to god knows why..
 
Getting my shock back Monday have been advised there was a tiny hole in the base of the shock which has been repaired and getting repainted so excited and now just need to get my tyres on as at the min they are just keeping the floor from getting dusty.
 
Whilst I'm waiting for my coilover to come back which I'm not having to pay for thank you very much gaz thought I'd go and fit my tyres hopefully it will be back on the road tomorrow not in its normal position jacked up

More than happy with the pms exhaust and will get a video soon and am so happy it's back on the road again

just before the track day you start noticing things don't you so ive just got a new aux belt as this has come off a couple of times also a new exhaust manifold gasket due to it blowing and i am going to be putting my tyres on now so Sunday is going to be busy with a full check as well
 
F*&^&ing great so car refused to start yesterday after i got to work and turned if off for a few mins pain in the bum just before the track day hopefully i have sorted this out to a fashion and will look into this a bit more tomorrow when i have my massive list of bits to get done. the cars getting a new set of tyres, new exhaust gasket clamp, new aux belt, new neutral clamp and a full inspection inside and out all ready for mallory..
 
Soo had a busy day today all of the above have been done new tyres new gasket new negative terminal which looks great and new belt I even painted my bolts black and fully checked ready for mallory park ..

Very nice, any tips on removing and replacing alternator and belts ? And tips on cleaning it up?
 
and thus ending an era i have managed to pick up a very good priced 197 and i have been driving it for a few days and have no liked it enough an have seen enough potential to use it properly so sadly over the next few weeks i will be breaking my 172 to fund the 197 i will get some pics of it up soon but if anybody would like anything please pm me thanks....
 
right some pics of the bunny boiler 1 owner local full service history sadly no belts and a few scuffs and dinks around but all in all good

will be hard to see it go bit by bit after having it for 4 years but i kept saying i want to upgrade after 3 years.
