My first dSLR pictures



Got my Canon 500D on Saturday, spent the best part of 3 hours reading the manual, then ventured outside for a couple of test pictures.

I'm happy with the outcome of some, but need a lot of tips/hints.

Get a 50mm prime and learn to use your feet rather than changing focal lengths. Ace pics tho for your first ones :)
 
Thanks for the comments :) I've been looking at a 50mm recently.

Why would you advise moving around, rather than using the zoom?
