Pmsl! Excellent video!

Made it all the more funny that you look a bit like Karl Pilkington from that distance!

It is great isn't it.

I'm thinking of offering it as a cost effective upgrade service to fellow Cliosporters.

;)

Glad you all like the video. Wasn't going to pull one together when I saw the final figure, but then I got that music in my head so I had to.

Obviously something not quite right in my technique or equipment.

You need four of those trucks to weigh it properly so that the car is balance at each corner.
Then total the four corners.

Evo did it a couple of months back

awesome vid mark. But you cant seriously have thought that you could weigh it a corner at a time did you?

It needs taking off the ground completely, lifting it a corner at a time wont work cos there is still contact with the ground which means weight will be be distributed over the points not off the floor.

Get to a weigh bridge, local tip, scrap yard. Loads of facilities to weigh cars accurately.

If you look you'll see I did actually have the car level all the time I was weighing.

I started off using pallets under each wheel, but they were too big to get under each wheel so I substituted stacking card to the same height as the weighing pallet truck.

Take stack of card out, put scales under, weigh, replace scales with stack of card. Repeat for all 4 wheels.

It should have worked!

How much weight can a pallet take?

Cant you mod it to fit the jacking points and lift the whole thing as one?

Wouldn't your wheels have to be set right in the far corners of the car for this to work?

still wont work unless the whole weight is off the ground and only distributed over the thing your trying to use to weigh it with.

Seems a waste of effort when you can drive to a place that will weigh it for you?

Loved the video tho, lol.

If that's the case, why do these work?

This is what I was replicating, but I only had the one scale, so I had to move that around one wheel at a time.

I've tried the weighbridge thing, but my Cup doesn't weigh 1,240 kgs.

they work because they are under all 4 wheels at the same time, 1240 is closer to the 600 something you got!

Id say its about 1050kgs

a fully race spec car would be about 950 I reckon
