My new car, 80's bmw content!

Exactly what rob said in above post.
Good choice on a mint 325is, and welcome to the e30 club ;).

Still wish i had my old 325is mtech2 was awesome for drifting :rasp:, just a bit of warning be careful it will bite.

EDIT
For a cheap winter car why don't you keep the e30 theme and look for a 325ix 4x4 iirc

So much love!

Can't wait to pick it up now, just sorted a garage to store it in as well, which is a massive bonus, it will be cosied up with my housemates 944 and my best mates tvr chimeara in a nice new lock up.

Result! I really am very jealous, but the more I think about it, the more this could be an interesting choice for myself.. I have a garage, I could run it as a second.... interesting.. I'd have to go cab like Budge though.

My one is slightly younger very begining of 90s but I see I am not the only one.

This is how I bought it. Doing some work on rear subframe now all the bushes, break and fuel pipes as they are obviously rotten. And the main one E32 750i LSD diff to be fitted :D

The plan is to get it de-SORNED begining of Sep and start driving it.

Well my dad drives one and he's one of the biggest pricks you could ever meet, how do explain that?

I drive a BMW and I'm a prick! ;)

Munson, I'm still calling custard tbh.

Anyway, that E30 is a f**king MACHINE!!!!

As you two are both here, where's best to get the belts done, are there any good specialists, don't mind travelling. Want to get them done for peace of mind.

Nope, it's cambelt and two aux belts.

I did my own following a guide on E30z. Took about 2-3 hours really taking my time as I didn't want to **** it up.

Easy to do though!

Parts cost f**k all too.

Oh funzies. I'd do it myself too, if there's a decent guide, just be slow and methodical and you'll probably do a better job than someone who is trying to bash it out.

When it comes to engines, I'm not too confident, as I know how much you can fck up, so would rather somebody who knows what they're doing do it.

Tbh, if you've not done one before it's best to get a garage to do it. There's no cam locking on the M20 either to add a bit of fun.

I'd expect about £180 fitted including parts. Make sure you do the water pump too..

Just checked CP4L:

Cambelt kit- £37.
Drive belts - £8 for the pair.
Water pump - £27.

Might as well do the thermostat etc while the coolant is drained too.

Cracking - what a great car. A close friend of mine had a Hartge H26 in silver like this and a 325i sport in black. Amazing

Far from it sadly. I can't quaff Champagne 24 hours a day. When that time comes then i'll let you know.

So the three places I've called have all said in between £500-£600 for cambelt, aux belt and water pump fitted. Wow. Anywhere you'd recommend Rob or Mike? I don't mind paying the money, but don't wanna be screwed given the price you said it should be around.

Dude, I wanna see this in the flesh!

Where did you call round here?
After Tony's advice I got Nigel at Automax to do my Clio. I provided the bits too. Might be worth a shout.

I get it Sunday dude, so we'll sort a mini meet or something.

I'll give them a call, tried a place in Oxford, place in Brackley, and then a specialist somewhere I can't remember lol.
