Yea got a decent amount air, I'd say better than F&F2 and came out worse off lol
The sump cost £160-170ish, can't remember to be exact.
I am very lucky to stop when i did.. More lucky i was ok.
Sounds like a proper jack needs to placed on order!
Yess have a new Renault cup splitter in the back of the car ATM, just need time to fit it.

Glad its all sorted Piers, no problems on the RAC, glad we could help. When we going to finish the run then, be an advantage to know where the roads go next time seen as we've done some of them already. Whether the mrs will let me bring the Megane again is another matter.

# UPDATE # Renault Cup Splitter Fitted!! #
so after buying an original cup splitter from my main man hutchie when the car was in getting serviced n MOT'd etc at the garage last weekend. today was a great day and the women was at work so it was prime time to sort it out and get it fitted!
here is it, was a little bit scruffy so gave it a wash and here is was..
Couple of the bad scuffs!
so i had to sand it down nice and smooth which i did
then this is it finsihed once sprayed and glossed! looks the part me thinks! chuffed with the results!
then finaly here it is fitted to the 182! really happy with the result and glad to have one back on looking nice and original!
Next on the list is to find and get that pesky fog light sorted! anyone know one going spare give me a shout and ill have it! not paying renaults asking price of £72!!!!!!!

Im gonna make a 3mm alu undertray much like the OMP rally unit. Have been very close to smashing my sump at times. Cheap insurance specially on a very low car runing track/street.
Good thing it worked out in smooth way.

Yea I have a standard Genuine Renault fog nearly sorted all being well, so hopefully will be replaced within the next 2weeks sometime.
And yes I have had an offer to have an alloy sump guard to be Made but haven't heard from him since He offered lol

Went on the sunday and was a great day! only a few members turned up on the clio front but never the less was all good fun!
i luckly managed to get a fantastic 14.7 @ 89 MPH
other than that i was running low 15's (15.2@94mph /15.3@95mph / 15.3@94mph -15.6's), car is defo quicker than the last 172 (in pic below) as it had zorst, filter, mag wheels and no rear interior and my current 182 is just about std barr the BMC so am pleased with that! as previously said it back up that this is a good running 182
My old car with new owner (nixxy) ran a 15.6, Nashy in his R27 ran a 15.7 and jamier27 ran a 14.8 in his 225.
also my boss came along and let me have a run in his new Mk2 Focus RS and that was awesome! managed a 14.7 in that aswell

just a quick one mind. this weekend i went down to pick up a V6 jamier27 bought also met up with richandgem for ride in his LY182 (cammed etc).
In total i did a 520mile round trip and LY182 went brilliantly with no problems as usual was feeling strong all way averaged a 34.6 MPG when i pulled up home after some steady and hard driving which was all good!
so gave the car a good clean and brushed and wiped down all of the dash area. looking like new Floating dust FTL !!

been a while since i last updated, sorry guys. but here goes quick summary on the latest.
Went to FCS this year for the 1st time and went full hog and did the track time aswell.. was only short but f**king loved it! really really good fun. will defo be doing it again sometime once the car is more setup for it as i noticed body roll n brake fade were the weak points to my experiance on the track. FCS was great aswell! just wish i hadnt drank so much the night before! lol. will defo be attending next year mind!

bought this foglight brand new from renault as could find out 2nd hand and i also wanted it to be in mint condition to match the other one which is still on the car, i found alot of 2nd hand one had gone a off colour which is not acceptable! this will be getting fitted on the cars next service which is happening as soon as it reaches the 40k mark.
Then i had got itchy feet and wanted something new, to give the car a new look. i got offered to do a straight swap for these . seing as the turinis were damaged in the 1st place and needed new tyres all round i thought this swap was more than sensible to do. as these 16" OZ F1's are in MINT condition and came with fresh tyres all round so was win win tbh, also i like them as they are rare sort after wheels
love the silver but wanting to ge them refurbed Gloss black which i will be doing in the next month so should be done on the next update i think this will look ALOT better!

Then me and the local gang organised a Clio meet to venture around the Lake district which was epic! awesome roads and again big thanks to Ben who owns the trophy for leading the way in, well might aswell be his backgarden! lol. great to meet some new faces and have a great time!

Eventually here are some last fresh pics from today after its usual weekly clean, infact its been cleaned twice this week lol.
Cars running sweet as ever, only issue im having it there is an annoying squeek coming form the steering rack/boss (not sure what its called lol) which i am also going to get sorted in the 40k service. achieving good MPG (34-40mpg) and as always getting plenty of looks and turning heads! lol especially when the suns out! lol. milage is currently sitting just shy of 39k and it hasnt missed a heart beat!!
iv just the other day recieved some new Brembo HC disks to e fitted in the 40k service. just atm trying to find some Ferrodo Ds2500's and some braided lines to improve the brakes seing as they are all soon due to be changed.
So, Todo list for next couple months
-Re-paint callipers bright red.
-Professionaly get wheels done Gloss Black
-Order Ferrodo Ds2500 pads's
-Order Braided lines

My good Friend jon (JonT) bought his 1st Clio RS the other week so thats night we though we would go out and get some snaps, another mate of mine who owns my old 172 (Nixxy) came along also!
1st time doing night shots, shame i forgot my tripod! but still they came out alright and i am happy with the result
Here they are.
Then the weekend after i txt a couple mates for a little meet and little run out to hexham on the sunday and word got round and below was the outcome!
ended up driving to hartside so was abit longer than expected but the weather was suprisingly brilliant and it ended up being a bigger turn out than i thought so we thought why not!
car drove fantastic, running like a dream as always happy days
