My write off and new car.

Bad luck. Tell your pudding headed mate to stop playing with himself in the street.

He crashed his car so ******* what? It happens every day, and if he had killed a child then maybe you all have the right to go at him like vultures. At the end of the day if he was in the wrong he would be stupid not to learn from it, stay safe and put some decent rubber on your car and drive with sense, there's no more to it.

I'd concentrate more on driving properly than barrying it up with mods. Mind you there's nothing I can say here that hasn't already been said!
Is that an Escort Ghia?
Lolz, I proper decked it!! Good to see you back.

Young lad comes on here with 100 posts, crashes car and makes a thread.. Gets comments like 'Get some driver training before you chav your next car' etc etc... so sanctimonious (sp?)

If one of the regular more popular members made the same thread there would not be a single comment like that.

While I agree with most of the comment in here some people come across like nobs.

Well said.

Think you covered all that in post #33.

I'm not arsed about what people think, they can be mad at whatever, they can act as if they are such good drivers and think their tyres are sick and won't have a problem, but you never know it's not just good tyres that will keep you on your wheels, anything can make you lose control of your car, and yes I am under experienced but it does happen to people, I don't give a f**k what people say it would be different if they crashed

Sounds like you're trying to blame everyone else to make yourself feel better.

And what are "sick tyres"? I must get myself some of those

Thought id make it perfectly clear so you can get your head round it

I thought you were using irony, as in your acting a nob by having to reiterate the fact that you believe others are nobs. But thanks for clearing up that some of the replies in this thread have incensed you so much that you felt the need to write effectively the same statement twice even if worded slightly differently the second time. I would have misinterpreted your comments had you not so clearly backed them up with an addidional post.

poor guy, buys another clio because he likes the car and obviously want to keep with the forum and all people can do is slate him and his new buy, absolute shocking behavior that is.

It's the same old keyboard happy arrogant people on this forum, and there are the decent ones, and most of you are grown up men acting like f**king child's, instead of being a role model and handing out useful advise your lecturing and talking to this lad like s**t like your the best thing since sliced bread.

Can you highlight in anyone's comments where they have wrote or given out crap that makes them the best driver on the planet

Did you literally rap that to yourself as wrote it??

With my write off being a 1.5 diesel, I wasn't exactly going to get insured on a 2L very easily so the grey Clio just had to do me a little while and then possibly get a better car, but for now the car is a car, better to have a car than not have one at all, might not be everyone's fancy but it's not your car is it.

Alan - Bear's back, welcome sailor!

OP, learn from it. Hope the insurance know about the springs/mods and you get the pay out you need/want.

Mate you crashed your car like probably 90% of the driving population do at some point.

I sometimes think, would people speak to other people the way they do on the internet, say if they were at a meet or something, and the lad explains he had a crash. Or is it because you are safe behind the computer screen?

Live and learn from it mate, and if you like your new car then thats all that matters :)

Take care in this one.

I definitely do. For example, a conversation I've recently had with my manager went as follows;

JD - y0 Rach, I can't work out this Excel sheet "sad face" LOL. Could you help multiple question marks, ones and exclamation marks smiley face
Manager - p45

Meh, just a crash - i'm new here but I can already see there are a lot of perfect people on here (bit like pistonheads :quiet: )

Bit of a **** for speeding in a residential area. Also i'd be so embarrassed at the fact I crashed a 1.5 diesel clio.

But it happens:

That was my 1st and so far only crash. Was a long time ago and caused by just driving like a dick. Hopefully it will slow you down (i know it did for me).

Take it easy in residential areas, always buy decent tyres and never, ever say the words "watch this" when your driving with your mates. :o
