Need desparate help...

Right guys this is causing me alot of grief.....

Friend of mine reckoned he could fit some neons in my footwells for me and use power from headunit. He showed me his neons how he done it.... and showed me pics of what hes done to others. So i trusted him. But lets basically say now ... my headunit won't turn on or work... and the time and temperature features on the dash don't turn on? Whats gone wrong and how do i change this.

I have booked it in to get fixed tomorow at an audio specialist but it like 40 quid an hour so would rather save myself the grief if it simple. Not even joking LOVE you guys if you can help me....

open passneger door, and on the side of the dash remove the plastic, it will say what they are on the inside of the plastic..

and i just have to replace the appriopriate one right?

Or he's re-wired the power with a rubbish connector and its come lose?

ye just look on the fuse, and if the small wire inside is broken, just replace there ae some spare 1's inside were you remove the Plastic

Its a dodgy connection I'm 100% sure. He probably just grabbed any line with voltage on it.....

i was hard wiring an extensions onto clock display in a 182 before and getting the connections wrong, causes the display to do funny things.lol.

well i took headunit out myself to take alook ... and there no wires cut... i tell u what he did do though... Black wire behind my headunit...he cut that then tried to connect something else... and had to use some connecter thing to put them back together. I don't know what that is, may be something?

what fuse it most likely to be ... theres tonnes to check i don't really know how to read it...

there will be a diagram next to ur fuses or in the manual telling you which fuses do what. Just read that.

itll be the one of the cd player or the music note. Thats most probs the cause. I fitted my headunit wrong once and it all went pop, was just the fuse though.

I dont understand, how you ever gunna learn if you dont do it yourself. I always have a stab at something even if im not sure. But fair enough maybe that rule is applicable for mates lol.
