New air feed and parental assistance-172

Not seen the Old King since i got back from New York and he is still after a Mk1 172 as a weekend car..... any minters for sale? - PM me.

So we both cleaned the old girl up and PCd her for the first time with Meguires products. Then set on getting her some cold air to suck on.

As you can see from the pictures, all we did was take the foglight out completely and removed the lamp from the cradle. Then with a bit of modification (with a hacksaw) seated the trumpet in the recess.

The trumpet was originally red, but was sprayed gunmetal to match the other details on the car and to mainly make it a bit more stealth. Old King (not pictured......"im not putting my old mug on the sodding internet") then found some electrical tape and made my car resemble a Mk1 Clio Cup.

The car seems to pick up a lot cleaner now and the 5.5k kick now seems more pronounced. So a good hours work imo. Hope you like.

cheers dude.

whats the reserve?

he has not seen your car yet either. ill try and persuede him...:D

A friend did this with his Viper, has go tthe red piperx trumpets in both fog holes feeding cold air feeds :)

Would actually look really nice if the trumpets were body coloured I think.

Nice idea with the two feeds.:devilish:

just drilled two holes so the trumpet fits snugly in the recess, it was working itself loose before.
