new clio alloys on ph2 16v

the 5 spoke renault alloys. just wondering if these would fit a valver. always liked em. they are same size i think but would there be any problems with a straight swap??

there were some pictures of a valver with 172 alloys on it somewhere on here,looked good.might have been in the for sale bit but i cant remember.

no problems with a swap, they will fit, but yourll have a 24-26mm narrower track.

yes mate the standard 1.216v fitted my car but not very good on handling as they werent very wide?

cheers for the replys. are the wheels not the same size? they take the same tyres. 185 55 r15 dont they?

I think so mate its best to ask some1 with a 172

normal clio (1.2 16v, 1.4 etc etc) use 15" wheels with 185/55 R 15 tyres

the sport models (172 & cup) use 16" wheels on 195/45 R 16 tyres

not sure on offsets though

my valver has mk2 alloys on. they look alright and the handling of the car is fine. the do scrub on full lock due to the difference in offset but i got them for £75 with 4 new michelins on so iam not complaining. below is a sh*t photo of them.

Yeah they look good but its not worth it !! You lose 26 mm of track as posted above which is a lot !! Ruins tyres !!! and spacers are a waste of time !! Cup wheels are the way forward !! dont do it !!
