new exhaust leaking, help please?

hi, i fitted a new backbox plus center pipe about 2 months ago and the clamp which connects to center pipe to the cat is leaking, it is 2 u shaped pieces with a nut and bolt at either end which tightens it up, when i fitted it i had to really rip it up to hold the cat and the center pipe together.

any ideas on how to sort this????

its a w reg 1.2 grande

Are the clamps tight fitting around the pipe already (as in correct size for the bore size)?

Undo them again and make sure the 2 pipes are pushed together as much as possible and then tighten it back up again but before you do you could try some exhaust paste to seal any gaps.

thanks for the help, ill go and have a look now ive got some free time. i think the clamp was tightish, ill go and have a go now and let you know.
