New steed (Return to RS)

Saw you collecting your car today, Ive got to say this is the nicest 250 we have had in, looks cracking!

Did realised you work there dude what department should have come over tbh!

when's it coming to me :D

Lol i actually do need to come see you regarding the 172!

Nice car Neil :)

Not surprised you got fed up of the GP's ride as it was rather low!

Lol once it was back on stock suspension it wasent "mega low" like before, still got annoyed with it on every journey mind!

Didnt realise the buyer was you until i saw this thread! Im in the workshop mate.

Who sold you the car, was it lanky Greg?

iirc the gear knob you have was £140 odd quid, mental. Exhaust looked cracking when it was up on the ramp, has a panel filter fitted aswell i think. By far the nicest 250 ive seen, the colour really is nice.

Fair enough dude and ye Greg sold it me tbh he was a decent salesman much better than most I've dealt with hopefully he'll be sending me the orginal gear knob and spare air filter as they have been removed from the boot by the valeters apparently. Glad the exhaust looked well wasent sure about the ktec exhaust being in it but all sounds well and it's pretty much brand new going by what the old owner said.

Youll have to let me know what happens to my GP!

Yea will let you know where your GP goes. Couldnt believe another GP came in we only sold one a week or 2 ago and the bloke who traded it got a 250 aswell!

Thought i do quick update andddddd not much has happened at all TBH

I've only covered 500ish miles since acquiring her, although I've got a few meets to go to soon so should whack some more miles on it. Ive only been on one good blast last sunday which was awesome, extreme mode is very very nice, and with the improved throttle response heel'N'toe is effortless.

Most evenings last week I've been knocking back the swirls with the DA and Megs micro fibre system, should be gleaming for the detailing meet in altringham on the 29th.

Right then I'm soon to put the 250 up for sale

After everything that has happened i can't justify keeping it with myself, its costs me a fair amount of money each month to sit in the garage, and now i just won't feel comfortable driving it within myself, sandy Vag or what!

The car is in immaculate condition, bar some kerb marks to the wheels which I've touched in and aren't all that noticeable.

Personally i think its got the perfect spec for a 250 and should be fairly desirable, bar the recent events...

Now I need peoples opinions on how to go about the advert, I'm not obliged to mention the car was stolen/recovered but I'm not a c**t so I'm wondering how to best go about wording the advert so as not to rock the value I can ask, Ive just done a Reg check and the car isn't listed as stolen/recovered so effectively its like any other 250 to the general public.

I just don't want to be accused of covering up the cars history, which bar some t**ts driving it for 20 or so miles is perfect.

So i need help and the opinion of some older wiser people!

dont mention it.

it doesnt matter. you could sell it and with lower expectations because of it, then the buyer could sell it on with a premium the next day because they havent thought with their heart so to speak. The car is spotless, you dont need to mention it honestly neil.

I wouldn't mention it either.

cheers lads

puts my mind at ease, best get the advert written up!

Cant you find a specialist trader who would take it? I know you wont get very top money for it but then its not your problem to worry about so much? Also found when selling cars that sometimes I have been offered pretty good money from traders.

It wasn't your fault it was stolen Neil, there's no damage and the cars mint. I'd buy it. I'll give you £1000 and my 182, it is stolen recovered remember ;) I jest mate, good luck with the sale.

Dont mention it , better still Trade it in then you will have nothing to worry about at all should new owner ever find out , this avoids the slim chance a Zoon with a grudge may buy it from ya !!

Cheers boys

i have considered trading to a specialist but yet to make up my mind 100%

cars goes in for new keys over the weekend so all that will be sorted then time to move on a guess!

To be honest, if you mentioned it, I would want it at a discounted price compared to similar spec 250's.
