New tyres fitted, Handling gone to pot

Had two new toyo T1R's fitted to the back of my 172 at the weekend.

Felt fine around town but went on the motorway today and it felt like something was loose at the rear. When changing lanes or cornering at speed the front end would turn in then a split second later you could feel the rear follow. Felt very dangerous...

Got back home and checked the tyre pressure's, one side was 40 psi, and the other side was so over inflated that my pressure gauge went straight to the max so must have been 60+ psi...:S

Brought both down to 32 and the handling is now back to normal. I know when fitting the tyres they need to be inflated to pop the tyre into the bead but to leave the pressure so high made the car horrible to drive...

Never thought tyre pressure could make such a difference..

Oh yes, I work for a tyre company, the weights are a biggy too, you had your tracking checked too? Be warned at some places your required to go back before 100 miles to get your wheel bolts checked, a get of jail free card because most people do more than 100 before they realise there nuts are loose.

Tyre places always leave stupid pressures in them.

First port of call after getting new tyres fitted is to let the air out.

How much does it cost to get your tracking done?

The rear tracking is non-adjustable anyway, so pray its not out!

I took a car i'd just bought to be checked and it was -10 out at rear, so i took it back to dealer and got my money back. I owned it for 2 days!!!

Do you guys not tell them what pressure to put back in? I always do, just assumed most other people would too.

Cost £30 for 4 wheel laser alignment down here...

I paid them to do a job, is it too much to ask for them to do it right without me telling him how to do it.
