Had two new toyo T1R's fitted to the back of my 172 at the weekend.
Felt fine around town but went on the motorway today and it felt like something was loose at the rear. When changing lanes or cornering at speed the front end would turn in then a split second later you could feel the rear follow. Felt very dangerous...
Got back home and checked the tyre pressure's, one side was 40 psi, and the other side was so over inflated that my pressure gauge went straight to the max so must have been 60+ psi...:S
Brought both down to 32 and the handling is now back to normal. I know when fitting the tyres they need to be inflated to pop the tyre into the bead but to leave the pressure so high made the car horrible to drive...
Never thought tyre pressure could make such a difference..
