Newbie - 172 Sprint car

Hello everyone

Newby to Clio Sport, I have just bought myself a '53 Plate 172, only 75k, with the aim to compete in hill climb and sprint events next year.

(Could someone confirm this is a mk2 Ph2?or is it a mk3?)

This isnt my first clio, I had a mk1 1.2 5dr as my first car :-s since then I have been All VAG!!

The 172 has some choice mods and my plan is to prep it over the winter ready for next season!

Plans are:

New dash and trim plastics (So I can compete in road modified class)
FIA seats & swap the harnesses (So the Lotus GF and harnesses are up for sale)
Add a 4 point Cage and harness bar
Set up the dampers
new bonnet
Possibly a new exhaust
uprated engine mounts
Add stiff shiff 2.0

looking for some whitleine arbs and uprated mounts to stop in knocking.

Anyone know where to get ther stiff shift bushes from??

Whiteline ARB is best to buy from BTM performance who is a trader on here (Fred)

If by uprated mounts you mean top mounts then google Pure motorsport and they do a set which you can also combine with a strut brace!

Where is the knocking noise coming from?

Stiff shift bushes are from a chap called Yanoo on this forum so search his name and drop him a pm

I mean engine mounts, think the manifold is hitting the sub frame- seen some on ktec!

if youre looking for uprated engine mounts,
look up vibratechnics, they do the range of solid engine mounts for these cars!

i think you can order them from K-tec racing!
