Glad to see you on here

What made you buy one of these?

Scott
Always wanted one and needed a engine that would take more stick and more fun to drive then the clubman I had. Have you still got the same one from years back ?

Ah fair dos. They're definitely fun to drive.

Get along to this and book some track time. It's cracking fun.

Yeah, I've still got the same one. Five years now! Due its second cambelt service this year too

Even just for the camping and saturday event makes for a brilliant weekend.

Aww no good. @NorthloopCup is the man to speak to regarding gearboxes

Yeah, they're leagues above the mk2 in terms of running costs.

If your brakes are standard, I'd really recommend high carbon discs and ds2500s. They're brilliant for day to day driving as well as fairly heavy usage

So I've hurd :)

Already has them in.

Once this gearbox is sorted I'm after wheels and coilovers then lashing some track time.

Was ment to be on track at fcs but sold my track time due to gearbox failure

Winning. I think someone was selling a whole box on here the other week.

The standard suspension is fine for track use too. Especially with the springs like yours has

On my b road hoons I've done I've found the back end to be erm.. a little unpredictable and bouncy not sure if it's just the clio way. I even replaced the old cup shocks for new cup shocks and still same.
Ima stick with them for a while yet as I'm just enjoying the car atm and itching for some track time.

I do need tyres soon any recommendations I'm on rainsport 3 atm.
