Newsgroup/Bittorrent/Internet settings expert needed

I have Newsbin and ABC, which both run as they should. My only problem is when either program is running and downloading my 'normal' internet doesn't work. All I get is 'Page Not Found' for almost every website I try to access. If I stop downloading and close the program then web pages are found as normal.

I can't remember having this problem when I first started using ABC years ago so was hoping it was an easy fix.

Any ideas?

who is your isp? do they block ports?

Sounds to me like you're saturating your connection.

You need to rate limit the downloads..

I find uploads make more difference in issues like this than downloads do. So cap your uploads to around 15kb ish that fixes it for me.
