i can second the coilovers. I think on this forum its often the case that one person says they dont like em and everyone follows suit. Personally i found em fine, and softer than my 1.2 was on fks (and i thought that was ok) i'd ahve em if a set came up cheap enough!

Car looks stunning as always andy, will look even better when it gets its new 'middo' touches ;)

hmmmm

i REALLY dont rate them, i can speak from experience, but as you said people can jump on the bandwagon without any facts. :)

^ what didnt you like about them then mate? not arguing just interested, as all i got was a ride in a car with them on not actually 'driven' a car with them on

Rear shocks are poor. The first set failed after two days (dropped fluid all over the drive lol) Sent them back to ktec who were great, got a replacement. These were then noisy in operation, making knocking/cluncking...... sent them back direct to GAZ, they sent a different pair back, still the same. It was deffo the shocks as i ran the o.e rear dampers temp whilst i sent them off, and the noise disappeared (sp). Also the ride was bouncy on all the adjustments.... just ruined the car imo. The H&R's are different class in refinenment. Lucky i only paid GAZ money for mine as they are ££££ to buy new.

Stunning, has it been left standing for a while? There appears to be a large branch under your wipers ?

sound like a bad experience :(

ive got nothing but praise for mine :) 18months with no problems, no clunking, no leaks etc etc. far better ride than when i had it on standard suspension.
if i had problems or didnt like them then i would defo consider h&r's, but if it aint broke.. :) 700+ quid is a lot of money to spend when there isnt any need :)

edit: you do realise i have just jinxed myself lol

too right Andy.

mine are a little noisey at the back, but i checked them out and there were no problems so i just let them do their noisy work. ;)

Well i'd say not a bad experience, as three sets of rear dampers form different batches is more than a coincidence imo. But like i said they are ok if you want a good drop. :)

have a sit in it on Saturday lad, it's not loud by any means. you really have to listen and any road noise or cd will drown it out.

it's just when you're sat in the car with the cd player and engine off that you can hear it. lol

You could hear mine whilst pootling about with no radio on, but then as i knew it was there it annoyed the f**k out of me..... they sort of make a quiet clunking over imperfections in the roads.... ie when the suspension is traveling. I think its the rod or valves in them

i had a yellow front badge but it got a few chips in the paint and the paint went a bit funny from where the salt off the roads ate at it
