Attempting to bleed the rear brakes using one of those Easy bleeders, it works as fronts have fluid being pushed out.

f**k all from both sides on the rear.

What am i missing?

If the problem persists I'd suggest using one of these bleeders before looking for a new compensator, had a similar problem on mine after fitting a new caliper, just would not bleed with pressing the pedal or pulling a vacuum, knew the compensator was good as it was new and the rears worked perfectly (well until the 1 caliper seized solid) used this thing & had it sorted in under 2 minutes

+1 for that compressor magic - my top tips....

  1. Make sure you have a good seal - wrap *loads* of paper towel around the engine bay because if it does go 'pop' ....
  2. Related to number 1 - don't go crazy on pressure. It's viscous fluid, not a f**king water pistol.
  3. Fill up 1.5L in it - while you've got it all hooked up, do a full flush.
  4. Use the 'loop' in the extractor bottle to go higher than the nipple, so that you have a gravity flow

My cup172 just had new rear brake lines and garage told me only one side of rear allowed brake fluid and the other side nothing, so needs a new valve. I am reading threads and wondered if anyone had tips or advice? Thanks
