I expect drama in this thread.

I don't think ktec are highly rated on here mate, not that I have ever used them personally. I presume its not under warranty still?

not sure mate without hearing the noise. There are a lot of people on here who would know from the sound I presume. Should be someone along shortly, they are probably in bed still, hungover :)

To late i think. I did start it but with no revs or anything i can still see plenty of the belt that has come off. Could i still be lucky or do you think I've caused major problems. What an idiot.

It started making a noise 30 miles away from home so i turned round and drove it back slowly. That was friday. It wasnt till today that i started it to get a quick video of the noise and the power steering/aux belt came off so i shut the engine off. I can still see plenty of the belt at the top of the engine. I can hook it back on at the pulley at the top so its not as if its been sucked down towards the cambelt. Do any of you chaps think I'll be lucky as the car was stationery or do you still think i could of bent valves etc

You might be lucky with a new aux belt kit
Fingers crossed its ok. Just been looking at it now and from what i can see the bolt that holds the alternator tight has come lose or snapped which has made the alternator to jump around and made the belt come off. I can pull the belt both ways which Hopefully means its not been pulled into the cambelt. But like i said from the start fingers crossed. Cheers chaps much appreciated

Mine did exactly the same a few years back and a Renault specialist had a new bracket welded up, luckily it didn't take the cam belt. Hope you get it sorted.
