Noise levels with a de-cat

  Ph1

Just bought a Magnex and before I get it bolted on I was thinking of adding a de-cat pipe aswell.

Will the de-cat make much of a difference to the noise levels ???

Also my Clio is a Y plated mk1 172 will it have the twin sencor thingys on ???

The guy at Janspeed reckoned the twin sencors only came in when the mk2 version came out but im sure ive seen somewhere that late mk1 172s had the twin set up?? Is he right or me ???

Cheers

They can.. but my old one was silenced and it made very little difference when I took it off and put a cat back on!

even if you have twin lambda it wont matter, just unplug the second lambda and run it without, the second doesnt affect running/fuelling. as for noise level mine has a de-cat and its loud as f**k but then it is the supersprint system, a mate of mine has a mk1 172 and said when he took his decat off and put the cat on with the rest of his system it made it alot quieter

The twin sensors came out on late Mk1s. I doubt a de-cat will make it much, if any quicker, the cat setup on the 172s is very good.
