NOOO! 172 ph1 Dead after mixing up +&- on battery...

  172ph1
I feel like a total moron:S, somehow I connected my battery the wrong way around and had an interesting sparks and light shorting... and now when I crank the engine it will not start?

It cranks fine and sounds healthy, but just won’t run. And FYI the immobiliser light goes off when I insert the key.

Please can someone tell me what could be the problem? I really hope I haven’t fried something expensive or irreparable.:(

Big red button near the battery - inertia switch...?

Whack that and see if it comes back to life.

Failing that, no idea.

A pro will be along to help out shortly, no doubt.

Thanks for your replies, I have now checked the red button, and it had not been effected, also all the fuse’s in the engine bay look fine, but I will change them all today too be sure.

What if no fuse has blown? What is most likely to have been damaged?

- believe me, it still amazes me how I managed to not see it coming... and yes mark123 has it spot on- installed it the wrong way around but the battery is also relocated.
In this case I consider myself very lucky, because the only thing that happened was it blew a 5amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box, it runs perfectly again.
