Not Another steering wheel adapter Qn

just been looking at the stalk/ display adapter for my sony head unit on the halford website. it is priced at £50. this is quite cheap as most places sell it at £70-80 on the web. Is there a reason why for this price, and for once halfords is cheap?

And does anybody know if this adapter is any good? Also i dont have to remove the dashboard and need a degree in electronics to install the thingl?

Just fitted the connects2 DRNS002 supplied by Halfords at £49.99 in my 53 plate 172. Took about ten minutes to fit. You dont need to remove the dash. Just remember to connect the blue amp remote wires. Apart form that easy to fit worst part was tryin to hide all the wires in the dash but managed after a few minutes. HU is a Sony CDXM800 and the adapter works fine. Hope this helps

also can you change the radio presets using the stalk or does it search for radio stations

My adapter doesnt let you use the presets. Yesterday it started playin up and now all the buttons on the stalk dont do what they are supposed to (volume now changes the track!)
