Now i’ve introduced myself...

  car? need a license 1st!

ill tell u about somthing that happened to me that i am extremely pissed off about....

about a month ago i was finishing work and my mate invited me round to his house for a drink and a chill out session.

I parked my car about 200 yrd down the road on a cobbled side street, facing into the street off the main road.

I was in there for about half 2 till about half 5, 3 hours ish (in case youre bad at maths :p).

Upon departing i walked down to my car to find the drivers door open, and i thought to myself "sh*t". As i got closer to the car i noticed to my disgrace that the drivers window had been smashed, so i walked to up the car to look what had happened, being pissed off at this time i looking the car and whoever had smashed the window had taken my wallet (no money, just a card that got cancelled as soon as i got home), my mp3 player (sony, about £250 worth), my brand new panasonic head unit (£100 worth) and all my CDs (about 60/70 totalling £150/200).

So as u can expect i was pretty pissed off, the trouble being i couldnt get home as i was going to fill up at the petrol station on the way home, but with no card i couldnt do it. so i had to ring my parents, who were about 40/50 miles away at a friends house.

I went to the police the same morning and told them what happened, they took the screwdriver used to smash the window (The thieves left it in my car) for prints, and came up the same day, to my house, to dust the car for prints, they didnt find any.

So i was completely pissed off at what had happened, there wasnt much point in claiming on insurance as i was under my mum, and she would lose her no claims, and it would be a lot to reinsure her car and mine again.

To this day i have heard nothing more, apart from somthing weird happened just before i finished college for summer, my college ID (which was in my wallet) got handed back to me by my tutor at college, but i couldnt track down who had handed it in.

So to this day i have no idea who did it, and im still stuck with no stereo or CDs. bit of a bummer really, the window only cost me £15 quid to fix, got another one for a salavage yard and fitted it myself, i have all my music backed up on my PC so theres no trouble there, but my stereo, wallet and mp3 player have gone.

the same night, i went out and pulled this mighty fine lady, so it ended happyily i suppose :p

sorry to hear that mate, same sort of thing happened to my cousin. his car got broke into, pinched his c.d player. A few weeks later he was in the pub and someone was selling a c.d player on the cheap, he asked him to have a look at it as he wanted one, so he goes round his house ,asks how much he wants for it, he said £30 as the face plate was damaged, cousin turns round to him and says how about you give me the player and i wont break your legs as it was pinched from my car!. He gets it back hassle free to take it into a local repair shop, only to fetch it back when he finds out the repair shop has been broken into and it stolen again. lol Seriously though thess lowlife need a serious knock, hopefully one day when they manage to grow up and have things they have bought themselves it happens to them. Remember the old saying, what comes around.............

ah man, that just sucks, it got stolen twice!! thats wrong! :p

but yeah, im saving for a new player now :p

I keep bugger all on display in my car, its just the sad state of the country these days. No one wants to work and save up for nice things when crime pays well without the hassle.

i never leave valuables in the car, even try not to keep my sunglasses and the like in the glovebox, sunglasses arent cheap nowadays
Me neither, Im sticking with the Renault standard single CD player and speakers, theyre good enough for me. The car itself is a big enough target as it is!

There are pics of some nice head units in the ICE forum. Theyre just too nickable...I hope everyone who owns them keeps them safe.

if i ever caught anyone so much as touching my car, god help em because there gonna need him lol. it might be his drug money to him but to me its my pride and joy
