Odd question. About renaultsport tri color stripes

Hi, i was having a discussion with some friends, and i've been searching everywhere about the meaning of the stripes on the clio sport, mainly because is the color scheme of our national flag in Colombia, yellow blue and red, which is also seen on the 106 Rallye, and that one came from PTS, with a similar color scheme.
Does it have a meaning on french sport cars? renaultsport? or just random color.

i thought at first it was a racing color code or something, i already tried there, but i still can't find any relation on the Yellow / Blue / red stripes on RenaultSport or Peugeot Sport, France at all... anyway, might be too blind or dumb, we'll see.
