Offered New V6 At A Poss Saving

  Clio v6

If you really want a v6 now then go for blue. I would ( and paint the silly silver airducts )

Black would be lovely even if it is a nightmare to clean.

Yellow I would definately wait for.;)

Yes I know it "may" be available

"The personalisation programme isnt offered in the UK yet. The decision is still to be made and if it is offered, would be launched in March/April next year. There are 3 additional colours, inc Sirius Yellow, an alternative alloy wheel and leather available in 5 colours in various levels of interior coverage. The cost of the paint is c.£1000."

( thanks again for info Jeremy )

Mmmmmmmmmm! Yellow

Steve

Get the blue one - it looks wonderful - much nicer on the car than in the brochure. Blacks an absolute nightmare to keep clean!

Have you made your decision yet Steve? As you must have spoken to the dealer and Mrs Steve by now?! ;)

personally I would wait for the black one, as youve already changed your colour choice once - you must have done that for a reason!!!

STEVEY BABY!!!!!

why did you order black in the 1st place?? because thats the colour you wanted it in

if you take the blue one, when the time comes around youll be wishing youd held out, even more so if you see another black vee on the roads, jealousy

hold out the extra couple of months, will be worth it in the end

THIS IS SO RIGHT!! If you wanted the black, then wait for it. A friend of mine ordered a Type R in black last year and a deal on a red one fell through so he took that rather than wait another four weeks for the black. He has been sorry ever since and really regrets taking the red, just to get a CTR a bit quicker!

BLACK isnt blue - My little 172 is black and I could have had three silver ones several weeks before the black was due in - I am so glad that I waited and anyway, as it came in Jan, although I have my own plate, I can advertise it as a 2002 model and not 2001! Likewise your FIRST CHOICE BLACK would be 2004 and the blue 2003, even though you have your own plate too, and when it comes to selling it on, it will have a replacement plate on it showing the year!

Another thing is that on the Mk 1 V6 black wasnt available, whereas blue was, even though it might be slightly different. NOT AS DIFFERENT AS A RARER NEW BLACK V6!!

Probably quite nice for the 30 seconds immediately after its been cleaned and polished........and then a sort of streaky dusty black.

Give in to the blue side - you know it makes sense.

Blue gets just as dirty as black! No cars stay clean on their own and if you have a nice black V6 it would be a pleasure to clean! As long as you keep plenty of wax and gloss finish, it is very quick and easy to wash over. Luckily enough we have had very little rain since last January so my black car has needed very little attention and remains very shiny and still like new!

Just do it Steve, you know you want to. The blue looks a bit similar to the Cup, with silver bits on the side, whereas there are no black Cups, so far less common!! Look at the next post!!

That should clinch it for you!!

Time I put more ore in.

If I was you Id wait for the black. It does look stunning in blue, but black on such an imposing looking car will look superb.

Im not keen on black 172s, but on a V6 I think itll look the dogs mate.

As someone else has pointed out, you wont be using it much in the coming months anyway, so rather than leave it in your garage and the money in there bank, keep the money in your bank and hand it over when your black V6 is ready.:D

By the way, I have a for more pics from that meet. Ill post them later if I remember.

OK peeps, ive spoken to the dealer this afternoon and ive made my decision!

But before I let you all know, I would like to say thankyou to you all for your input and suggestions, for and against, blue and black.

My decision has been partly based on px price, partly on my own feelings, partly on whats been posted up on here.

So here we go......

Ive chosen.......

To go for.......

BLACK!

My original choice. Once again many thankyou all.

Steve

I am so pleased that you have stuck with your original choice of colour for your V6, which in my opinion is the best colour for most cars. I just rang my friend with the red CTR, who wished hed waited another four weeks for the black he had really wanted, and he says you are absolutely right to wait a bit longer for the colour of your own choice, rather than the colour of car the dealer wants you to have, just because a sale had fallen through, because after a while, or when you see your first black V6 you would have been sorry!

I cant wait to see your first pics, it will be stunning.
