oil on rear passenger wheel lining

just noticed a little patch on my drive looks like oil but looked in the rear passenger wheel arch and its full of it all way round lining any ideas what this could be?

dont think its the shock as there is no oil on the shock at all just round arch lining strange any other ideas people i will have to have a better look at weekend

wouldnt know what difference were if i smelt it or tasted it anyway not very hands on when it comes to cars

if the brake fluid was leaking that bad wouldnt my brake pedal be hitting the floor? dont even know where the bottle is to check the brake fluid level lol
