Oil top up?!

Checked the cup this morning to see how the oil level was and it was a bit down. I know the dip sticks on these are as useful as a chocolate tea pot but after I'd topped it up, the level was over the top mark (must have poored it like I do a beer!).

Would a little too much oil be a problem, I have a trackday tomorrow?

Nah will be fine mate, Renault will have put a buffer zone after the MAX mark in such cases, any excess will simply burn off. If you put exceedingly large amounts in though you could flood your pistons and f**k your engine up - but thats a fair few inches over the MAX mark id expect.

This was just 10 mm or so over the max mark.
