Ok Ok more brake questions

  RenaultSport clio 182 Cup
Sorry to be a bore and i have read nearly all the material on brakes in this forum , but still have some questions. Could we not put a sticky up with things like this on it please?
question 1
what are the best brake and disc combinations for fast road and 10 tracks a year or so?
question 2
Why dont cups ahave a connected compensator at rear?
question 3
Is it worth putting braided hoses on?
question 4
when i brake had from 100plus the brakes are great and then in no time they go all spongy and dont work very well at all? is this the pads worn out or discs or both or something else? On a jan 05 cup done 16k

thanks for all ur help people
Are there any renault specialists in maidstone or near?

I'm writing a guide at the moment but my boss wants me to do some real work for a chnage so its not going quick.

1) I'd say normal disk or Brembo ones (Brembo are the same price from Yozzasport plus they have wear markers which are handy) then DS2500 pads and make sure you use some decient fluid.

2) They don't need them.

3) If your bleeding the fluid anyway might as well it will help give a bit more stiffnees to the pedal when the brakes fluid is hot.

4) I take it you mean repeated 100 mph stops? The brakes are very good on the 172/182s the problem is the 182 wheels are usless at lettling the brkaes coole so brakes go before they do on 172's since 172 or turini alloys allow the brakes to vent the heat quicker so resst fade for longer. thats whay mnay owners use diffferent alloys to let the brakes keep cool.

In 16k they myabe worn though it depends. usualy the brakes fluid light comes on but then again if you top up the fluid level toped it it won't

SOund slike you might just need the fluid bleeding in which case might as well chnage the pads as well I had a similar problem with mine when I overheated and cracked the pads but that was track day driving.

Sounds like pads glazing/worn

Change of fluid and braided hoses will give a very good pedal feel.
