Quick Question...
The charger that comes with the iPhone, are they meant to stay together when you slide them together?
Mine has never stayed together ever since i got it when they are slid onto each other, and it was only brought to my attention the other day by a mate that it shouldnt really be like that. (I use an elastic band to keep it together)
O2 said its meant to be like that and id have to buy the proper wall charger for it :S

Think my phone might have a problem with the battery. was telling me it was fully charged at 95% so did a reset and then the battery was at 100% but not fully charged. Will drain it and charge again to see what happens if not I will call o2

Thanks for that - I've never used a case on it so cannot be that!

I have had my 3g-s a week now and last night it decided to throw its toys out of the pram, basically every page is zoomed in so its unusable, and before anyone says it no its not my undoing and I can't zoom out. Any ideas?

Just been subtly reminded as to why i quit jailbreaking, installed boss pref recommended tools all went well. Now nothing opens, rebooted and stuck at the apple logo.

My unlocked/jailbroken 3G has an odd habit, when I switch it on it sometimes says there's no sim installed - but there is :S It sorts itself out after a couple of minutes but just wondered if this was normal?

Thanks mate, I found out it was the accesibility setting and had to tap three times with three fingers, felt like a bit of a wally going into o2!!

Ive had the 2g from launch and the 3g from launch, the 2g i didnt have a choice as i was on tmobile with it, so i had to unlock/jailbreak in the early days.
I have always found issues with the jailbreak, wether it be slowness/constant crashing but i find the phone much much more stable without the jailbreak process.
Maybe i just have bad luck with it.

Looking for a little help please!
Im still looking for a PC program that I can read my SMS messages on. I have a few thousand I want to keep and I'm aware they are saved when backing up (this is correct?) and would like to be able to read them on the computer and also maybe save them seperately to the back up file if possible? Oh and for free please!
Also, when sending a text is there anyway to know how many messages you are sending in one go? Most phones will tell you if you go over to two or more messages (over 160 characters) but I can't see that the iPhone does.
Is there anyway to make smilies/emotions come up in texts? Rather than just the symbols?
Finally the iPhone is backed up when syncing now isn't it? And this is exactly the same as what happens when you right click the iPhone and click back up? I like to make sure my stuff is safe!

iTunes isnt giving me the option of remote? I dont get it???
I have the preferences for "look for iphone and ipod touch remotes" on,
have itunes as an authorised program on my firewall,
have the remote app installed,
have my iphone as an authorised device,
have pressed "forget all remotes" (not that there were any on there before)
have "reset sync history" just to reset the sync settings, and then re-sync'd,
have both the PC and the iphone on the same wifi network
have tried having the iphone plugged into itunes, and not plugged in (i know it has to be plugged in to work)
have shut down and re-opened itunes.
have the latest itunes update (8.2.1)

Hmm seems strange, I just installed the app just now and had it working with in 30 seconds? Didn't change anything.
It doesn't have to be plugged in to work, my iTunes detected my iPhone in the devices over my network..

I'll bet £20 the Bonjour service is disabled or not working on your PC.
Start menu > Run > Type "services.msc"
Look for "Bonjour service" in the list.
Double click. Set startup type to automatic and then start the service.
Close and re-launch iTunes.

So I am 5 months away from the end of my contract, and the o2 website says
so can i have an upgrade a month earlier than they were going to do it anyway? (meaning i can sign up for an iphone in 3 months instead of 4!)

Bloody Apple have released 3.1b3 to developers tonight and have said that 3.1b2 will expire at midnight tonight. Glad I happened to read Mac Rumors or I'd have woken up to a bricked iPhone tomorrow morning.
