P*ssed Off? Im More Than P*ssed Off!!!

  RB 182
The subframe dilemma continues!

Bumped my 172 and bent the subframe, so after two weeks, managed to get a 1.2 one, complete with arms and antiroll bar which is good because one of my arms is bent... Some of you will know whats coming!

So, i start it saturday, and then get stuck because of the craptive nuts!!! Bolts and nuts were just spinning!! So, im carless all weekend

Monday, i drill a hole big enough for me to get a spanner in to hold the nut, and finally get it off

Tuesday, i drill hole in new subframe for the extra mount the 172 has, and start to reassemble. Get stuck when i realise the valeters swept up my nuts and bolts for the steering rack fixings!!!

Wednesday, get new nuts and bolts, and finally get it done, go to track it up and its toeing in +15 both sides, hmmmm somethings wrong

YES

The 1.2 has different arms, which im majorly annoyed with myself for being so stupid and not checking!!!

So, rang Renault, and they cant get me an arm until saturday!!

So, carless again, and im gonna have to drop the frame again, to swap the antiroll bar and both arms  :dapprove:

Does anyone know wheres likely to stock an arm for a 2.0 172?!

By the way, ive been doing it in my half hour dinner times, im not that slow lol

Local motor factors got me a QH wishbone no problems, they have them for all sorts including the 2.0 16v.

And yup, I knew exactly what was coming when you wrote it had wishbones with it. I think you'll also find that the antiroll bar isn't as stiff as the 172 one as well so you might want to swap it if its not bent.
