Time for a update on the Clio
Since the beginning of the year the Clio has- not moved a lot, we had about 3 months of raining almost no stop, and the will to get the Clio dirty is very little, so i has been stored in the garage. Last week, went for a small drive and all is good as before.
The major update, is regarding the new engine.
Two years ago i got my hands on a good condition (Super low mileage) F4R 730 and bought it with the intention to rebuild in Oem + fashion like the rest of the car. And as we speak, the engine is ready. Just need to install the timing belt, accessories and the lot.
So the spec is regarding the engine block is :
- F4R 730 Block & Crank , the block was measured and was in great condition withing the Renault values
- Clio 3 RS Pistons and rings, with standard ring gap values
- Clio 2 RS rods (Lighter than the Clio 3 RS ones) machined to received ACL Race Rod bearings
- Machined main caps to received ACL Race Main Bearings
- Arp rod bolts
- New Oil Pump
- New Oil Injectors
- New seals everywhere
Regarding the Head :
- Clio 3 Rs Camshafts with custom timing
- New valve guides and fully rebuilt and Ported Head
- Clio 3 RS Intake & exhaust valves
- Supertech Valve Springs
- New Lifters
And everything brand new regarding the engine.
