Some one at my g/f's work recons that putting 98 + ron petrol in a car that aint got a turbo isnt good for the engine effects the amount of air flow and clogs thing up or some thing, and that i should switch between normal petrol and ultamate.

Using too low an octane fuel can cause damage. But the only damage from using fuel with a higher octane than your engine can actually use is to your bank balance.
