Got the dash out and the columns ready to remove

set away removing the aux set up and have had a few shite bolt related issues but progress is being made slowly

Its still got its undertray which suprised me and found the renault service sheets


tomorrow il get the rest of the aux set up out and drop the subframe

Subframe off completely now,rack and pas pipes/pump all off all thats is left is the exhaust-the bolts pissed me off so i give up for the day,drivers seat (so i can get it.to.get the column out) and the column


Looking forward to.starting the.rebuild

all in all theres alot of weight been shed here and id suspect reduced alot of mechanical drag

Really annoying me this now,daft things delaying the job all the time

i should have know it wasnt going to end well since the keys been stuck in previously before i started trying to get it out the column

Iv got the column from the cup still so if that comes out ok il have a barrel and blade

the issue im having is if i cant get that blade out i have no physical key for the doors so if the fob fails or the cars battery goes im doomed

Il see if it can be cut open some how

Quick update,the epas rack is in,damn thing took ages to get the motor in its bulky,had to split int in 3 and build in situ

problem i ran into was the airvent pipe ran right under the colunmn so it had to come off,hopefully itll refit or itll be blocked off to avoid overheating the motor

next up il get a battery feed through to relocate the battery and get the epas wired in

i managed to get the key out the origonal barrel so.i wont need to break in to.my own car lol

182 mani now on,dci mounted to the cup subframe and the new aux set up

hopefully get the subframe up and rack/column joint tomorrow

looka like il have to block the heater pipe off,the pipe needs to be right where the motor joins the column-not a huge loss but a lil irritating

awaiting some 25mm2 cable to reroute the battery into the spare wheel and the epas and cup conversion is done

Going to spray the clock insert like the ph2 and probably switch to the black backround

Swapped bonnets over aliminuim now on and it looks like a car

All was going swiftly and nearly ready for test drive,fee lil bits to go on and this has stopped me dead

that was supposed to link the 182 mani straight upto the back box and its got the the end chopped off

Matched inlets upto gasket-the ph1 inlets are a pi55 poor match

changed plugs while i had the inlet off

order a ktec sports cat,fitting kit and mount so hoprfully il.have it running this weekend

Dash is all back in,eml and airbag/serv lights all fixed properly ready for mot and tracking on wednesday

the rear end is still all ph1 for now but plans are from.my ph2

give it a good wash since its nice and i had a few hours to kills

just used the pressure washer and a bit wash n wax since it was covered in fly s**t i didnt get a chance to test out my new electric car polisher-always just done it the old fashioned way so god knows how its going to turn out

i maimly bought it to tidy up the headlights-i tried a 3m kit on a spare aet from.the cup and they looked better before i started lol so i was just going to.lightly polish them hopefully remove a bit of the dirtsy stanied look

took it for a quick drive today did around 50mile and its doesnt feel anything like it did,much more precise/accurate

i much preffer its.power delivery over the ph2,it doesnt kick as hard but lower down its much more eager IMHO its probably producing slighly less bhp but for alot more of the time making it much more usable

the old catback was pap so it had to go,ktec stealth supersport

iv bought a rstuner but havnt got round to using it yet so still on the standard map

It's come on well. Have you got an adjuster for the epas to vary the assistance?

I'd take it to DTM or RS Tuning for a remap, you'll get more out of it than the RS Tuner. It'll also give you a better idea of how it's running.

havnt updated this for a while

tom yeah its just a lil variable resistor, around half way is ideal for driving but on grippy surfaces parking it can be a bit stiff
the epas ecu is a bit thick aswell it has a good 5 second delay which makes parking adjustments pointless

if you turn it up full whack its like one of those 90s arcade driving games but much more dangerous lol

i did indeed pop up to clioturbo sadly i didnt return with a turbo clio but i did return with a correctly timed clio new dephaser and aux belt whuch has made noticeable improvements

its awesome andy being just up the road

Nah it cant be mapped its been locked via the rstuner - only an rstuner can read/write to it now so il have to stick with the ron98

also means i have to go standalone when it comes to boost next year
