PH2 Cup set-up

My 52 Cup failed MOT on a couple of cracked springs, and after having a search on the forum last night, I've decided to change the suspension around a little bit.
I'm thinking
New standard Cup shocks (front and rear)
Cooksport springs (or Eibach Pro)
Whiteline ARB

Anything else I should look at or refresh?
Renault quoted me £49.94 for shocks- does this sound right for Cup shocks?

While you're doing it, do the balljoints and TREs as well - with everything apart it's barely any more work, and parts are cheap.

I'd heavily consider polybushes as well - again, you're half way to doing the job with the front shocks off so it's not a massive amount of extra work and will complete the whole suspension refresh your aiming for.

If budget is an issue, I'd much sooner do the bits I've mentioned than the RARB, tbh.

Price seems about what I paid for them last year, although Wests or Ads on here might be able to do you a better deal.

don't bother with ARB then imo, do as mentioned track rod ends etc it will tighten it all up

I bought Powerflex items - Wishbone, ARB and Dogbone. I think I bought them from Ktec or Kam.

Do I need to look at top mounts?

Be sure to get some new OEM ones, but that's it.

Just be aware that the Wishbone bushes can get a little labour intensive - the wishbone bolts are usually stiff, the bushes may need burning out, the sleeves require a bit of care to cut out, the new sleeves can be awkward being pressed in and require a few tacks of weld to secure it to the wishbone.

I think I ended up spending two hours on my wishbones alone.

Don't dismiss standard wishbone bushes when you can get complete wishbones (ball joints inc) from Renault for £60 a piece. Powerflex dog bone is a must though. Powerflex ARB bushes do nothing, if your standards aren't worn out then don't bother IMO.
