As above...

I've bought a set. £16.50 + vat from the stealers.

I'm sure someone on here has them on a 172?

Anyway, if you have them, please post away!

Cheers

Chris

do you think they would look ok on my colour?

bearing in mind they are the same chrome colour as my current ones.

prob look good in chrome on your bus aye.

downside is the clio one is drilled in with plugs so will leave holes if you decide to remove it for the new style clio name

they look good :D

i personally prefer the ones you currently have on chris but its worth a go! the newer ones make the clio badge on the back look a bit odd as its in a different font/style. u can always stick the old ones back on if your not keen tho!

also, does the existing 'Renault' badge have prongs on it?

...leaving you with holes to cover up.

i know the 'Sport' bit is stick on, so that's ok.

And where should i mount it?......lower down near the boot lip like on 197's? :S

  VRS
the renault sport is stuck on but the clio has 2 holes

i would do it in the same place! if its lower then it will make the clio badge look a bit random

well in that case its just peel the old RS badge off with some string behind the letters and it should come away for the placement of new letters.

id put it in the same spot as the ones before.

right in the corner would look pants imo

^^still not sure on them matey...

i reckon they would look pretty cool though, especially with the indicators in them

Don't like it, yeh I know the original Renaultsport badge looks dated today, but to me keeping the car looking pretty much as Renault intended when it left the factory is the only option. Keep it "old school".

Shame the Clio badge is pinned because i think it ruins the overall look.

Agreed... i love the new Renault sport badge with its clean crisp lines.. but the curly wirley clio badge just doesnt look right next to it

chris, stick some blue-tak in the holes left by the clio badge... should be a perfect colour match :approve:

agreed wonder how much of a job it would be then. It would also mean you can have the current side repeaters smoothed other. I would go for that style renault sport badge for my ph1 if the clio badge was not pinned they don't really go together that well

well all you need to do now is change the embroidery on the seats and change the steering wheel plastic bit to match!! looks good on the new ones, not the old! imo

those badges look realy really nice but the clio badge looks really od i took my renault sport badges of to make it a bit more badgless but i think i will probably but them back on now....would the renault sport not fit over the holes made by the clio badge if you took it off or would you still see it??

That's exactly what I'm hoping to do but not sure yet if they will cover up the holes

if it fills the holes up defo going to get some but if they dont going to leave as is...why the hell is the clio attached with holes when anyone could get their ahnds on one if they nicked it but the renault sport badges come on straight away ha ha

sorted.

i will be taking off both my renaultport and clio badges...

then using the new badges to cover the fixing holes.

i took the Clio badge off this morning and the fixing holes are only small.

What's the part number Chris?

Are you using the 197 Clio badge as well or something else?

Strange how some of the 197's aren't actually badged as a Renault Sport.
